Reading the Bible was not on my radar. For many years I kept it hidden on a shelf in my bedroom. Tossed in there like any ordinary book. Until one day, sometime after my journey with Jesus began, I had this sweet, whispering thought Read the Word.

When I was finally obedient, I discovered a treasure I didn’t even know I was searching for, treasures of truth that began penetrating and transforming my heart, my mind and my life. A passion was ignited in me that I couldn’t quench, so I began carrying verses with me in my pocket, snippets of the Word that I could always have with me.

She moved to the United States many years ago, and now lives in Illinois with her husband Todd, a retired soldier in the U.S. Army.
