Pondering of a Soul by Patricia Walden is an inspiring collection of poetry that addresses different themes of life and details the author seeking the Lord to help her through it all.The author writes with descriptive imagery that draws readers in to the poems. Readers will be able to relate to her words as she describes the ups and downs of life and crying out to the Lord.I was born an Ozark’s, country girl, transplanted to the urban environments of St. Louis, Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. God blessed me with the people He brought into my life. He provided opportunities, as well as mentors and those who challenged, tested and encouraged me.As a woman, I quickly learned to approach any situation as a peer and not an underling. I always held to my godly worldview while respecting the other person’s right to their own for we will all stand before the throne. My faith is what carries me through this bramble bush of life. In the past 20 years I have known the loss of a father, a brother, a brother, a husband, a sister, a mother, a brother and many others my heart grieves. Life has taken me to my knees. I hold them all dear and within. He gives me hope of being with them again. I have written this book to say, don’t place your hope in this world. Patricia was born in Missouri but raised in an urban environment. She attended Drury University but graduated from the school of hard knocks after surviving 40 years in the corporate shark tank of America. Although her vocation was business management, her avocation was helping others achieve their best. This is from the humble beginning of file clerk, then supervision, human resources and upper management. She has diverse interests including model railroading and World War II aircraft and history. It’s all about people.
