Go back in time when the people who lived in the United States’ most recent territory were getting settled. See how times were in the 1880s as these Alaska northerners were living in the years that followed the Civil War. Enjoy the way the families were then, since their way wasn’t much different than the people of today as they worked hard to make a living, and get along with others in the community. Robert K. Ryniker was born on November 13th, 1945 in Elmira, N. Y. He is the only child of Harry and Jean Ryniker. He went to Elmira schools, and eventually attended Elmira College, where he wrote a weekly article for the college newspaper for the hockey and other sports programs in his Junior and Senior years. Robert previously wrote two nonfiction books, and decided in 2018 to write his first novel. After doing some research, he wrote his Sarah Shugar story in 2020. He is planning on penning another historical novel.
