Tom returns home from work to find suitcases in the hall and his wife preparing to leave his life for forever, taking his two beloved children to live in Ireland. Tipped into an abyss of despair and self-recrimination, he finds himself on an unplanned journey of rediscovery as the truths he seeks slowly unfold. In his heart Tom wrote this book to challenge the tyranny that is 42% of marriages fail in the UK. If in writing it one more family can be saved from being torn apart, perhaps it will begin to redress the balance of his own failure.
