Why Grits?
I was in North Carolina having breakfast that morning. A British family of five sat at a table right across from me. The father ordered grits, eggs and bacon for everyone seated at their table. A little boy about 7 or 8 years old yelled out, I don’t want that! . The family immediately demanded that he chill out! The father looked at the young boy and said, We all discussed this when we were in the car coming here. We all saw that show on T.V. talking about grits. We made a pact that if we ever went to the southern part of the U.S. that we were going to try it. He then looked at me and asked, What would you say? , and not lost for words I replied Go with the flow yo! .
