Shepherd’s Inn, a B&B located on the east side of the Cascade mountains in Central Oregon, is usually busy at Christmas time. But this year, they are in the process of remodeling and don’t plan on having more than one guest.

Gabe, Martha, and Lydia, the three employees of the inn, are keeping busy with the remodeling and are expecting a quiet family-style Christmas Eve. As one of the characters in the book notes, I make plans and God laughs, that’s what is about to happen at Shepherd’s Inn.
