Joanna Mclaurin was born in Jackson Mississippi; however, her parents moved their family to Atlanta Georgia soon after. Growing up she wanted to be a teacher until something magical happened at the tender age of thirteen. She was introduced to writing short books one day during History class. From that moment forward, writing became her first love. Since then she has written over one hundred novels, fifteen which she hopes to publish one day. Joanna graduated from high school and studied Early childhood development in college. She worked as a preschool teacher for several years. Still, she felt dissatisfied. Today Joanna is happily married, a mother to a handsome son. She is now focusing on her novels full time.
