A collection of Facebook posts during the months of September, October 2019 reflecting on my relationship with myself, my family and a man trapped in offshore detention. It is through the difficult encounters with this man who has faced ongoing physical and mental illness that my life is irrevocably changed. It is my hope that an encounter with these posts will change your views also. The condition of the man trapped in offshore detention highlights the abonimable treatment asylum seekers who came to Australia in the hope of freedom have been tortured under this country’s harsh offshore processes of Australias government.
