She enjoys writing songs for children, teaching violin, singing and cooking. Jan lives in Somerset, UK with her husband Simeon. Laura Huliska-Beith earned her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, where she currently teaches as an adjunct instructor. She works primarily as a freelance illustrator in her attic studio, commuting on a chair between her painting table and her computer station, which she uses to complete her illustrations.
