This Lab Workbook is intended to be used with the Modern Masonry: Brick, Block, Stone textbook. The Lab Workbook contains chapter review questions designed to reinforce the information presented in each chapter of the text, as well as jobs in which you apply your knowledge in hands-on activities. The Lab Workbook chapter reviews correspond to the textbook chapters and should be completed after reading the appropriate chapter in the text. The Lab Workbook chapter reviews are designed to enhance your understanding of textbook content. The various types of questions include multiple choice, true or false, matching, identification, and fill-in-the-blank. Answering the questions for each chapter will help you master the technical knowledge presented in the text.

The Lab Workbook also contains jobs that cover areas specified in apprenticeship training programs. The jobs are action-oriented laboratory and field experiences that are designed to build skill and knowledge of accepted practices in the trade. The jobs are related to textbook content, and most of the jobs are supported by information in the text in addition to the step-by-step procedures.
