Daniel was living an unfulfilled life. He thought that by being a police officer, he would be doing his civic duty and bringing good to the world-but the last accident he witnessed had shattered that belief. All he saw was darkness-the worse in people. Where was the kindness and the love? He felt he needed a break and to get far away from this darkness. After a talk with his chief, he decided to go on a road trip. It was on that trip he found a remote property for sale, a wonderful place beside a lake, just like he had envisioned. It was peaceful and quiet-what solitude! Daniel would have to make a decision. Moving would mean leaving his loving family-his twin sister and father-leaving the police force, and changing his life completely. Is that what he really wanted to do?
