Chris is an indie horror author. He's not famous, and he's far from rich. He's just an everyday guy who works a day job. He's juggling a wife, kids, a mistress, and a day job, all while trying to find time to write his books. Since he's not broken through and had a major success, he's starting to doubt himself and question whether he should even continue writing.
But when he starts receiving fan letters from a would-be writer named Jeremy, his passion for his writing is rekindled. He's always wanted to have fans! But the more Chris corresponds with this new fan who insists that he's Chris' best friend, he comes to understand that Jeremy is problematic and, perhaps, insane.
After a couple of interactions go badly, Jeremy sets out to destroy Chris' life and career, and Chris realizes that nothing is off limits for his new fan. Are the people closest to Chris safe? Should he be concerned for his own life?
Critical Acclaim for Books by Andy Rausch
"I haven't read all of Andy (Rausch)'s books, but I've read several, and I like that he writes whatever he likes. He's got some damn good stuff." -Joe R. Lansdale, author of the Hap and Leonard series
"Rausch's writing is like a serpent. It's lean. It's clever. It coils around you...and then it strikes. It's glorious, but be warned-there is no anti-venom." -Chris Miller, author of Dub-Town Blues
