Eight-year-old Jenora Donato spent a lot of time outdoors riding her bike and playing with friends, but didn’t feel accepted at home. Then she met Mr. Duncan and his housekeeper, Miss Jones, who gave her the support she needed. Because of them, life was good-until her new support team was gone. She felt very alone. She couldn’t go to her parents because they knew nothing about her relationship with them. She had many emotional ups and downs after that.
Then in high school, she met Troy and fell in love. Troy made her laugh. Life was good again.
Her eighteenth birthday brought a huge surprise from her past that affected her future. That surprise also revealed to her parents where she had spent her younger years when they thought she was out playing with her friends.
After college, Troy and Jenora eventually married, but marriage turned out to be very different from what Jenora had looked forward to.
A neighbor, Marge, befriended Jenora and led her to find peace in her life through Jesus. Her faith would carry her through tragedy and lead her and her two children in a new direction.
She had had a dream that came out of her time with Mr. Duncan and Miss Jones. She wasn’t sure whether it would ever become real, but she never gave up and, finally, was able to not only reach her goal but set an example for her children to follow.
