While many feel that prayer is the right of every believer, I personally believe that prayer is not our right but a privilege that has been afforded us by our heavenly Father. The writer of the book of Hebrews declared, Let us come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

The invitation from our Father is to come and find rest from the daily pressures of our life. It is an invitation to discover a sense of peace that can come only when we realize that no matter how big our problems may be, God is bigger still. His invitation is to find him to be our all in all as we cast every care upon him.

My prayer is, for all who read this book, that prayer, if now a neglected privilege, will become the most important part of each day-that Prayer, is indeed, So Great an Invitation.
