Fourth grader Erika Roth’s poems are disarming in their insight into the human condition, and the subtle changes of voice are far beyond her years. Her poetry ranges from modern free verse to limericks and haiku, and her grasp of these poetic structures is in some cases as well developed as a high schooler’s. Erika’s book lay undiscovered until early 2018, when they were rediscoverede by her mother.
