There have been many Portuguese stories told. This is mine. Snippets and photographs from my memory written with love and pride to honor my grandmother, Raquel da Luz and my mother Mary Correia Martin. A little bit of Portuguese History in the small community of Point Loma in San Diego, where so many Portuguese immigrants settled. Tuna fishing was a thriving industry the church was the heart of the community. Traditions were carried over from the old country and kept alive through storytelling and community events.
