Jake is a humor story. Jake is an old man, and his only friend is his dog, Sure Foot. He is telling all of us his life story and the many jobs he had through his life, and he can’t understand why he can’t hang onto one for any length of time.

He tells how he started out with nothing and ended up a very rich man even though he ended up a lonely old man.
