Ozzie is the classic story of The Ugly Duckling but with an Australian twist. Ozzie, an endearing baby platypus, finds himself the outcast in a family of black swans. He is ridiculed by his siblings and other Australian riverbank animals. Dejected, he decides to leave in search of where he truly belongs. On his walkabout, Ozzie meets one friendly lamb, but as he continues on, a grumpy old sheep, a fast-talking wallaby, colorful lorikeets, and a know-it-all koala all belittle and reject him. Sad and alone, Ozzie travels through the Australian bush and rainforest until he finally meets another platypus. He realizes that he is not a swan but a member of a loving platypus family.
