A Season for Shepherds

From abandoned child to father of thousands--one man's journey to rescue Kenya's forgotten children. In a small village in Kenya, Charles Mulli was abandoned by his poverty-stricken family at age six. As a teenager near the end of his rope, he was invited to attend a church service, where he discovered that God loved him. Through diligence, hard work, and faith, he improved his circumstances until he was married, had children, and built a very successful business empire. A chance occurrence with a few street children changed his life once again. When they asked for money and he declined, they stole his car. The incident reminded Charles of living on the streets as an orphan. The Good Shepherd had rescued him. It was now his turn to be a good shepherd.

In the beginning, Charles and his wife rescued three abandoned children who would become part of their flock. Since then, over the last thirty-five years, the Mulli Family has given their entire lives and a considerable fortune to rescue, adopt, feed, clothe, and educate well over 27,000 Kenyan orphans, bringing them into their fold and becoming the largest family in the world.
