Wayde S. Black is an Air Force veteran with a BA from Eastern Illinois University who was inspired to write about his love of camping at Mt. Charleston with his family as a young boy while living in Las Vegas, NV. He enjoys time with his family and occasional golf. He currently lives with his wife Christina in North East Georgia.

About the Illustrator

Richard M. Black Jr. attended the Kansas City Art Institute, where he received a BFA, and studied art and design at the University of Massachusetts. His artworks include Illustration, Painting, Photography, and Ceramic Sculpture. As a child, Richard enjoyed camping in the Sierra Nevada mountains with his family. He also lived in Colorado for 20 years, where he continued hiking and camping.
