Richard Carter is a Paramedic quickly reaching the point of being burnt out and no longer able to function. The requirements of his job and the loss of his brother in Afghanistan have taken their toll on Richard’s ability to cope. As he contemplates what his future holds he has what he believes to be a chance meeting with two individuals at his local gym. After being invited to breakfast Richard begins to understand the meeting was a set up and why they wanted to talk to him. William McTarrish the leader of a group known only as Valkyrie makes Richard an unexpected offer to replace his dead brother in a tryout for a position on the team. Unsure of what to do, Richard needs time to think. However, McTarrish tells him the offer expires in two days. Now faced with having to decide if he is willing to continue his day to day life as he knows it or accepting a new challenge Richard begins ot weigh the pros and cons. If he passes the tryout and accepts the offer, he will have to leave everything and everyone behind. He doesn’t know it yet, but this job interview will be the most grueling and dangerous one of his life.
