Making new friends is not always easy. Emma is frustrated when she has trouble making friends after moving to a small town in Alabama. But when she agrees to keep the beloved class pet, Charlie B the hamster, a few weeks in the summer, things start to change. Little does she know, Charlie B has a plan to help her gain new friends. The adventures during those few weeks allow Emma to embrace her new school, her new town, and make new friends along the way.
