The Shirt that Didn’t Get Worn started as a class project in grade school in the early to mid-90s. After completion of the book, it got stored away in the small home library of author Shane Weber’s childhood home. Many years later, and completely forgotten about, the book was pulled off of the bookshelf for his kids to enjoy. His kids loved it, and he hopes that yours do to. The story was inspired by an argument with a school friend that left the author with no friends for a short time. It’s about being left out, how bad that feels, and ultimately being accepted again by your friends and how good that feels…like a lightning bolt to the chest.

About the Author

Shane Weber grew up in rural South Dakota on a ranch. After graduation, he moved to North Dakota, went to college, and eventually found and married the perfect woman. They have three beautiful children and are raising them in the country and wide-open spaces. After having a job in the oil and gas industry for over ten years, the global pandemic of 2020 has ended that career. He looks forward to the next chapter and wishes the best to all others that have experienced hardship during these historic times.
