This planet abounds in myths and legends prevalent in various cultures. More often than not, these are based on a kernel of truth. This book also includes an investigation of the story of Moses, especially the identity of the Pharaoh responsible for the Exodus. One is reminded of the famous quote attributed to Sir Isaac Newton, wherein he said that I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.
