While still a child himself, Tom Dotson loses his mother at the age of twelve. He goes to live with the Choctaw Indians in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. After graduating high school, he goes on and gets a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and moves to Kansas City.
While in Kansas City, he buys an old house to fix up, as well as works on old cars. One day while attending an afternoon get-together, he meets the love of his life, Lisa, and they get married. They are happy and soon has a baby. However, that is short-lived when his wife and child gets in a horrific car accident and both passes away.
He then helps an older lady with her car and she offers for him to move in with her, and he does. What he doesn’t know is that she has a daughter.
