He graduated and became a Forest Research Technician with Union Camp from 1973 to 1987. In 1975 he joined the Air National Guard as an Intelligence Analyst and was awarded a Direct Commission in 1979 as an Air Intelligence Officer.In 1977 he helped organize and establish Boy Scout Troop 665 in Rincon, Georgia. He was the Troop’s Scoutmaster from 1977 to 2014, and still works with the troop as the Committee Member.Ken is a story teller, and decided to write books. He has written two books so far. The Comfort Zone Growing Up in Appalachia and The Uncomfortable Zone Down From the Mountains are stories about his childhood through Vietnam.
