* Children living in trauma are at an elevated risk of self-damage as they mature and suffer from a variety of destructive behaviors, such as OCD and anorexia.

* One in twelve teens will deliberately try to hurt themselves this year, most often by cutting or burning their own flesh or by trying to hang, electrocute, drown, or suffocate themselves.
