From the mountains of Virginia to the mountains of Maryland as Julie traveled The Road of Life, she was able to capture that walk in A Life of Poetry.

Born into a poor family, with five younger brothers, life was a struggle as a child during WWII era and being isolated in the Virginia mountains. She and her brother, Calvin, became best friends as they helped their siblings grow.
Julie travels her road through her father’s extreme alcohol addiction, and his army tour in WWII.
Her first marriage ends in divorce leaving her, a single mother, to raise two children.
Her second marriage, later in life, ends in the sudden death of her husband.
Through it all her secure career gave her a future retirement without worry.
And yet, as she traveled, she felt her life had not been fulfilled. As she glimpsed the end of the road to reach the top of the mountain, she never expected to find that missing piece standing at the top waiting for her. But there he was.
Julie Green resides in Boonsboro, Maryland where she retired as Postmaster. After retirement she settled into her new life. Her days are filled with writing, going to church, time with friends, and family. She enjoys traveling throughout the United States.
She is the mother of two adult children, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She has had a lifetime dream to share her experience with others and has just published her book ‘The Road of Life.’
In her future she sees her love poems collected in a book titled Looking for Love.
