This classic book of early Mormon history offers commentary on and defends Joseph Smith's Book of Abraham, which is part of the canonical Pearl of Great Price. The Book of Abraham was originally translated by Joseph Smith, from an Egyptian manuscript purchased in 1835, before settling in Utah. Smith stated that the original papyrus was written by Abraham in his own hand.
