Seeking Signs, Finding Wonders

We are always seeking for signs of reassurance. We want to know that our lives are worthwhile and that we, as the earth’s dominant species, are not alone. Nature can speak to us if we open the ears of our hearts, the eyes of our spirits and meditate on all around us. This book of poems explores some messages Nature might be conveying. In the Bible, for example, the sign of the rainbow reassures the survivors of the flood that they and we can still nurture hope. Nature also pleads for a wiser stewardship, a more charitable, less selfish co-existence. As St. Francis celebrated in his Canticle of the Sun, all things created by God are our brothers and sisters. This collection pleads for a wiser stewardship of and a better relationship with the other created beings on this amazing planet.
