I saw the fall of the nation state and the rise of the Corporations. I was there when JC conquered Space-Time and the cyber world circumscribed man. I knew manmade woman and voyaged throughout the solar system. I saw football rise and the world embrace it. I heard the roar of the Lamb and felt buildings fall. But most of all, I was a friend to Septimus, –blessed is his name to me–the great scion of Old Texas, who we immortalized with that great statue in front of the headquarters for Earth Corp.
