Beaver Plumwood

Baxter is a very particular beaver. Unlike other beavers around Blueberry Lake, he refuses to chew down living trees to build his lodge. When others are done building for the summer, Baxter is still hard at work scouting deadfall and snags. To find these logs he must venture further and further into the hills around the lake.

When his hard search leads him to discover a glorious plum tree atop a ridge overlooking the lake he is absolutely elated. As the tree sways back and forth in the strong autumn breeze he is certain that by spring it will have fallen.

Settling in for a long winter he relishes the prospect of a bountiful spring harvest. Little does he know however, he's not the only one searching for the perfect tree.
