Dead Man Deputy finds Buckshot Bledsoe in Zamora, Mexico, looking for Jim Tennant, who was believed to be dead and buried. Rumors of a blue-eyed Mexican with a scarred face name Ponchito leads Buckshot to believe this Ponchito is really Tennant. Finding Tennant, all it takes is the mention that Lindy Lou Merriman is in trouble to get him to head back to San Angelo to face the man who almost succeeded in killing him before. In Lodeville, a stranger with a broken arm and covered in snow wanders into Pop Marcy’s bar to interrupt Nelse Halliday’s heavy- handed attempt to convince Pop to sell the Gunsight Mine to him. The stranger is taken to Doc Cloud, who discovers he also has a bullet wound. Who is this stranger, and why is he in Lodeville?
