Mr. Circle Man is about a little boy whose physical appearance of being chubby prompts his aunt to give him the nickname Mr. Circle Man. Instead of being upset with his new name, he considers himself first class and enjoys exploring his environment while learning about concepts, positive values, and attitudes. He is a great learner. In fact, he feels so good about himself and what he has learned that he anticipates a name change! Born in Jamaica, Cynthia Grenyion has a great sense of humour and possesses a positive outlook on life. She adores children and seeks to make them happy through multiple outlets. Her hobbies are reading, writing and dramatizing literature. She is committed to empowering people, specifically children. She is a trained and experienced literacy specialist and artistic development professional, whose passion is to eradicate illiteracy and promote education using creativity. She is the former president of the Jamaica Reading Association, an affiliate of International Reading Association. She is presently an education officer at the Ministry & Department of Education in Nevis, West Indies, and holds M.Ed and B.Ed degrees in literacy studies. Her first book, Hide and Seek (2007), was a catalyst to write other children’s literature. The author was trained at the University of the West Indies, Mona, and other prominent institutions, including Sam Sharpe Teachers’ College, Caribbean Wesleyan College, Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing Arts, and the University of Toronto (TEFL).
