About the Author Nancy grew up on a farm in the South of England, before going to Sherborne School for Girls in Dorset. She trained as a registered nurse at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London. After marrying her Naval husband, Richard, they settled in Australia with their three children. During the last eight years of a long nursing career, while supervising students in the nursing faculty of Monash University, she helped initiate a Palliative Care Service on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
