This anthology is a collaboration of Ms. Kristin Patrona’s fourth grade and Mrs. Amy Quick’s second/third grade classrooms at Carkenord Elementary in Chesterfield, Michigan. Our classes were awarded a L'Anse Creuse Foundation Grant for the Wondrous Writers Book Publishing Project. Students spent three wondrous weeks participating in a writing workshop with Grey Wolfe Publishing LLC associate publisher, Diana Kathryn Plopa. The objective of the grant project was to enhance the writing process in a unique way. Throughout the project, students became aware of the wonderment that they can create with words - through descriptions of people, places, things, and the creation of storylines that entice them to want to read others’ work, as well as share their own work with friends and family. We also focused on the importance of crafting complete sentences, using grammar properly, and planning a story from the beginning to a decisive end. Our talented students crafted amazingly creative stories. We are beyond proud of their hard work!
