Save in Defense

Four condemned Confederate generals are herded at gunpoint to the large gallows erected in the prison yard at the Washington Arsenal. Two Confederate cavalry leaders battle Union troops in a desperate attempt to reach the condemned men before they hang for crimes they did not commit. One Union general bows his head and prays that the rescue mission he has aided will succeed and prevent another war.
