Danny and Ron Orlis have been asked to go to Africa to supervise the construction of a new mission hospital. However, a delay in building materials and a stray elephant cause trouble. Then Ngida, the son of a tribal chief, is nearly killed while hunting the stray elephant, and the natives blame the Orlises for not having first sacrificed to the "god of waterholes."
