The Wartime Memoirs of Robert E. Lee

Through General lee’s eyes each chapter details the battle, and the man who led that part of The Army of Northern Virginia, with the results for both sides. Each chapter also details the events and reasons for the cause of the various battles, and the results of those battles to both sides, North and South. This of course would involve the Richmond White House, with its leader, Confederate President, Jefferson Davis, and the Washington leader, President, Abraham Lincoln. Then there are Lee’s Lieutenants. Porter of Cannon fame, Jeb Stuart, General and leader of the Army of Northern Virginia Cavalry, and Pickett for whom the failed charge at Gettysburg was named (Picketts Charge).Everything in the book has been researched for accuracy and is documented by footnotes. Wherever possible pictures of the principle people involved in the war is added.
