In the beautiful back country of Pennsylvania, is the place where the annual summer Forest Trials take place. Every year people from all over the country volunteer, and they are chosen based on their spiritual gift. Seventeen-year-old Mckenna Brightmore chooses to venture through the forest Trials on a test of faith to understand her gift of discernment and bring her into a closer relationship with God. Mckenna must rely on a group of strangers she is matched up with to help her through each test. Near death experiences and the potential to become one of the lost and never return is something Mckenna has prepared for, however falling for one of her companions was not.
