Let’s Talk About Your Wall: Mexican Writers Respond to the Immigration Crisis

Topic: Immigration and the border crisis are constantly in the news and they will be central in the lead-up to the election, whatever the outcome

Leading Mexican writers: The anthology includes pieces by the likes of Valeria Luiselli and Yuri Herrera, who are well-known here. Luiselli has said she will help support the book. Carmen Boullosa is one of Mexico’s leading writers and is well-connected to the literary community here.

Platform: Alberto Quintero is the editor-in-chief of Literalia, a digital publishing and translation platform that aims to connect Mexican writers with readers across the globe. He will use this to promote the book.

Serial: Almost all of these pieces have not been previously translated into English, and so we can expect serial interest.

Material: The essays have never been published in English before.
