The Storyteller

A mysterious elderly stranger, dressed in the style of a late 19th century preacher, struggles on foot through a Colorado snowstorm. Freezing, wet and weary, he comes to a country roadhouse bar and grill. As the evening progresses, the storm intensifies. Jeremiah Walters, a onetime radio Storyteller, becomes snowbound with three remaining patrons and the roadhouse waitress. As midnight approaches, he shares the tale of Louisiana moonshiners, in ‘Bayou Moon’, and Quentin Dubois’ date with ‘Gruesome Gertie’, Louisiana’s portable electric chair. Read THE STORYTELLER.
