The author points out that there are differences in the various ways we live and think, in our temperament, and ways of responding to God and yet these leave us free to love and serve God joyfully, even in our diversity. There is a balanced view of submission in the home, the four different ways we can love one another, and the four different ways we can relate to God. This teaching helps us to understand why Christian can be pragmatists, pietists, illuminists, or passivists, yet still be loved and understood by God. In fact, there is no one way to serve God, He after all is a God of infinite diversity, and He has made us to love and serve Him faithfully despite our differences.
