Countering Terrorism: U.S. Efforts & Country Cooperation

The Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI) is the lead federal enforcement agency charged with counter-terrorism investigations. Since the September 11th, 2001 attacks, the FBI has implemented a series of reforms intended to transform itself from a largely reactive law enforcement agency focused on investigations of criminal activity into a more proactive, agile, flexible and intelligence-driven agency that can prevent acts of terrorism. This book provides background information on key elements of the FBI terrorism investigative process. Also discussed are the ways in which international terrorists and insurgents use the Internet, strategically and tactically, in pursuit of their political agendas, as well as a focus on the terrorism-related grounds for inadmissibility, deportation and removal.
