Rune is a warrior in a tribe in Norway along with lifelong friend, Arne. They are starting to worry that neither of them will end up dying in battle and they'll be denied entrance to Valhalla when the time comes; perhaps they were too good at their jobs! But Rune is burdened by an additional worry that he's never shared with anyone; not even in prayer to Thor.
