AUTHOR: Ciderhouse Cookbook is a family affair that brings together the authors’ cidermaking and culinary talents. Jonathan Carr and Nicole Blum - the husband-and-wife team behind Carr’s Ciderhouse in Hadley, Massachusetts - grow traditional American and European apple varieties, which they use to create distinctive, hand-crafted hard ciders and popular cider-based products following traditional, small-scale production methods. Andrea Blum is a chef and culinary artist in residence at the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, California. She holds a degree in journalism and is the founder of My American Pantry, a national atlas celebrating American artisanal food and drink. Colour photographs throughout
