AUTHOR: 1LT Mike Guardia is an Armor Officer in the United States Army. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in American History from the University of Houston. He obtained his commission via R.O.T.C. at the University of Houston in December 2008. His research interests include World War II in the Pacific, the history of armored warfare and guerrilla warfare. He is currently stationed at Fort Knox, KY.
