Joan is the wife of Elder Daniel Gray. They have been married more than thirty-two (32) years; they have three (3) grown children, Jason, Cory and Michelle, and one (1) wonderful daughter-in law. They also have five (5) grandsons. Joan received salvation at the age of 33. She was filled with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit shortly thereafter, and received the call of God to teach and preach the Word of God. She has served in many capacities of ministry to include: Co-Pastor and Founder of Living Wells Community Church, located in Columbia, SC for over seven (7) years; Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Youth Leader, also served as Youth Pastor for several years; President of Deaconess Board, Gospel Choir Secretary; attended International Bible School of Theology. Joan has written numerous articles for an International Women’s Magazine, Women of Power based out of Columbia, SC, as well having been on radio. Joan has a media ministry where she sends out Encouragement letters as the Father leads. Joan started a ministry for women called Daughters of Destiny; she started her own business on a shoe string budget (Heavenly Gifts & Things); Joan also served in the United States Army for over six (6) years. She and her husband and two of their three children along with one grandson reside in Suffolk, VA. She believes her call is to the body of Christ, to help strengthen, to encourage, and to help empower the women of God through His Word.
