In a parallel 2015, Conservative forces are in control of national policy.
As a result, young gay men, pushed to the margins, must fight for equality and safety.
A bomb. A wedding.
A young man’s first love, lost.
A book that explores consequences, radicalization, and how a terrorist might be the kid next door.
Tygers is the story of an alternate 2015 in which extremely conservative forces have taken control of American society. In that world, to be LGBTQ is to be treated horribly by family, by religion, and by the law. As a result, young gay people, pushed to the margins, must fight for equality and safety. In this world, a young teenager, just becoming aware of being gay, having found his first love, suffers a horrible loss. This loss makes him vulnerable to being radicalized by a group of young gay men who have had enough of the world as it is and are fighting back. But do the ends of such a fight justify the means?
