What about My Life?

Hi, my daughter was trying to get me to write Children’s books but now you know I am somewhat rebellious. Because I picked adults to babble about so it may help women understand men and for men to understand one’s self. But frankly after this I will probably stick to kids books. I Graduated from H.B. Plant High in Tampa and attended one year at Tampa University before I married my wife of 54 years in 1955. My first job was at Eli Witt Cigar Co. down town Tampa in accounting at Forty Five bucks a week. The rent was fifty the new Ford was fifty a month and groceries were ten bucks a week at the Margaret Anne on Bay to Bay next to the Rail Road track leading to Mc Dill AFB. I started a Masonry Contracting Business 1957 that led us to Pinellas Co; we built our first home in Tarpon Springs just off Whitcomb Bayou on Ashland Av. From there we spent twenty-six years operating the Crystal Florist and Gifts in Crystal River Fla. We put two Silk Bazar stores in Ocala and did Home Decorating for 14 years before retiring to Clarksville, TN.
